What is a method for drawing a wall that is canted? (both interior and exterior surfaces are not 90 degrees to the ground plain). Can reference plains be used in some way to extend the wall to the canted plain?

Steve,
you want to create an "in place" wall family. There are a variety of ways to create the canted wall once you've started your in place family, depending on what exactly you are doing. Go to your modeling tab and choose "create..." From there you'll have the choice to make a solid or void. Choose solid and you can probably figure out the rest.
hope that helps!

...or I sometimes use a roof. Depends on what the shape and function of the
wall is. Long discussion on ZoogDesign with examples about this....
