Accurate Terrain Modelling in Revit

From a surveying perspective you are required to use Revit to model the building as-built opposed to designing a building from an architects perspective.
The issue arises is that there is a need for accurate modelling of terrain such as roads. I understand Siteworks can address and model roads however in a real world environment, roads curve and have different elevations.
My question is that, what is the best way to model roads and other terrain to achieve a real world likeness.
