I tend to use my 3d views often to pan around my building. I often go from hidden lines to shaded to wireframe but theres seems to be now way to do this now on revit 2013. What happened? what are the settings to fix this?

I am not sure I understaand the problem you are experiencing...
You are saying you can no longer change the visual style of your view? Is the view control tool bar missing?

if the viewbar is not missing, but is greyed out... you probably locked it by attaching a viewtemplate to the view.
Properties window > Identity Data > View Template
It should be <none> to be able to change these settings manually. If not you can either select <none> als viewtemplate or edit the viewtemplate itself. (All views that are set to this template will change).
