Is there a way to trigger an event when a Family is loaded into the project?

I would like to automatically add parameters to a objects of certain types when their familes are first loaded into my project.

Hi 

After Revit loaded a family, DocumentOpened should be triggered. You may use this to add some parameters in the handler of this event.
