Currently when generating a report, PLM360 provides a plain excel output which is not very practical dealing with a large amount of information for over 1000 items.
When exporting the report to Excel, the report should be formatted similarly as the HTML version.
Below are some features to make reports on PLM more practical.
- Freeze Panes - Top Row
- Filters on column headings
- Bordering lines to show column separation
- Colored rows
To illustrate and example of what I mean...
This is how a regular excel exported report looks. This is how it should ideally look.
A function where a "desktop folder" can be added inorder to add/view documents from the desktop/finder directly into PLM360. The folder to be added should be connected to a certain workspace, where the user can chose which workspaces should be able to "share" information.
The folder should be a direct connection through the username and password from the user, where permissions should be added depending on what role the user has.
Similar to dropbox, but with the added finess of PLM360.
Kind regards,
Jonas
It is highly tedious and annoying to attach a pdf or a dwg file to a list of items in a workspace. Having the ability to bulk upload attachments to specific items in a workspace would be ideal for mass drawing updates or file updates.
One solution would be importing a zip file of the attaching files and an excel file that would have the item descriptor in one column and the corresponding file name in the other column.
At this time, all views are by individual. There is not a way to globally configure a view globally. Item Views should be able to be modified for an entire team from the system admin rather than from case to case basis.
Hi Team,
Actually to really make a date format clear for global teams, we should have the option to pick a date format such as:
dd/mmm/yyyy but with letters for the month eg. 23/MAR/2013. This will really avoid any confusion with date for European and American people working on the same project.
Is this something that PLM360 could support in the future?
Thanks
Sergio
When using the import tool, performing a bulk import of values into a "single selection" linking picklist is possible. Unfortunately I cannot select a "Multiple Selection" linking picklist it in my import to do the same thing.
This feature is very important for our company since it would allow us to show our linked product items in one specific field, as opposed to having multiple "single selection picklists"--which doesn’t make a clean visual.
The data I have is in a excel format. With over thousands of entries, having the import tool to bulk import the linking picklist values in the multiple selection picklists would allow me to provide my tenant with the information it needs efficiently and visually appealing.

Administrator has ability to clone User,Group, Role to speed up configuration
Item Preview Enhancment
Status: AcceptedThe TABS section of the preview should open up and expand when clicked on instead of redirecting to the specific item. This would allow the quick easy access to key information such as BOM items, attachments, relationships, changes ext. Also there should be the ability to click the specified print view for the item as well.

I've seen that the custom views created in the item viewer are not avaliable for other users.
Is there a way to do this?
As administrator I'd like to create some default views for all the users
I'd love to see more robust script management. Ideally I'd like to see the ability to officially version or rev scripts. In addition to the Save button, you could add a button for Version. This would store the script in its current state with the appropriate verison number.
In addition, I'd like to review previous versions of the script and have the option of making a previous version the current version.
