Extend Picklist filtering to Multi-Selection Fields

Example Meeting Mins workspace

Attendees are picked from a list of Users

The list users is driven from a workspace and Users are classified by region/department etc

The list of people reduces based on selected Region

Our team had the same problem. If multiple items satisfy the picklist filter conditions, we would like to be able to select more than one item.
