Is it possible to determin what objects are used to display Quick Properties?
By default, if I place my cursor over an object, the quick properties are displayed at group level, as shown when using the Select tool. However, I can drill further down with the Select tool by using the shift key, but this does not transfer across to the quick properties display.
Hi StephenHenshall1260,
The selection resolution setting determines what level in the hierarchy your quick properties will come from. By default, the selection resolution is set to last object.
If you wish to change the selection resolution, slide out the Select & Search panel in the Home tab, and you’ll find the selection resolution drop-down.
Please let me know if this answers your question or if you need anything further.

Thanks for the reply, and it partly answers my question, but as I am working with a converted RVM file, I think it is the best I am going to get. Unfortunately, due to the structure of the converted file, the "level" of the object I need to access is not accessible via the options available and I will have to navigate to it manually, meaning I cannot access the quick properties (smart tags).
Thank you for the update. I’m sorry to hear that the First Object, Last Unique, and Last Object selection resolutions are not selecting desired level in the hierarchy. I checked an RVM file in Navisworks and there were 5 levels of objects in the selection tree. Therefore, the First Object / Last Object selection resolutions do not select those objects in between the 1st and 5th levels, which is where your object likely is you wish to view quick properties for.
I recommend logging an enhancement request such as allowing the SHIFT key to cycle through the quick properties levels in the hierarchy the same way the SHIFT key functions for cycling selection of objects down through the selection tree.
