AutoDesk MoldFlow Adviser - Hung on Splash Screen

    Hi, as title subject says

It's a new install on a new machine, pulling a license from a license server, double click the icon, get the initial splash screen and it hangs there.

CTRL-ALT-DEL shows advisor.exe with pc use.

I'm not an expert on Autodesk.  Is there a quick fix for this?

Uninstalled and reinstalled and getting the same thing.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
the reason is probably that the project folder is for a specific user on network.

Two options here I would say:

1- During installation, point working directory to a local folder such as "C:\My AMA 2012 Projects" reachable by all.

2- Create directory manually and change registry manually
If you are confident to manually change the registry you can do as follows:

Create a local folder via Windows Explorer and name such as C:\My AMA 2012 Projects

    Change MPA_USER_HOME in regedit
    Start > Run
    regedit <enter>
    find: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Moldflow Adviser\2012\Environment
modify MPA_USER_HOME to hold the created local folder such as C:\My AMA 2012 Projects.
    Exit regedit
    Start Adviser

Note: option 2 means you will not get subdirectories created
You can copy those manually from a previous release folder such as C:\My AMA 2011 Projects.

To change start directory from Adviser user interface:
Top left: M > Options, tab Directories

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Berndt
