    New MDT4 Discussion Group

    Welcome to the NEW Autodesk Mechanical Desktop v4 Discussion
    Group, news://adesknews.autodesk.com/autodesk.mcad.mdt4.support.

    This group has been created to discuss Version 4 of Mechanical
    Desktop. If you have technical questions, this is the place to
    ask them. More detailed information on this product is available
    at the Autodesk website http://www.autodesk.com.

    This discussion group will be moderated by MCAD Development and
    Product Support staff. Any and all marketing questions must be
    directed to news://adesknews.autodesk.com/autodesk.mcad.marketing
    where non-technical MCAD questions are supported.

    I will of course pass on the request but somehow doubt the
    newsgroups will be refined down that far in subsets.

    I asked as I said I would and got back the answer this morning.
    For the current time, the layout of the MCAD discussion groups
    will stay as they are.

    I understand you have done what you can, but it truly is counter productive
    with a good 20 to 30 % of the questions not applying in the least to the
    rest of the newsgroup. Sometimes it takes a couple three exchanges before
    you find out you have to say "I don't know I don't have that product"

    What other newsgroup has to deal with this amount of off topic questions?

    I have also shown my wish for a AM2K group, but I guess there is not enough
    of us to make a difference, must of the messages in this group relate MDT,
    so we have to go thru 100 messages relating to MDT before we find one
    related to AM2K. Guess we lose.
