Looking to identify and manipulate features when importing .stp files, anyone know of a utility that can do it?

Larry,

If you have Inventor Series, I believe for R11 & 2008, there is a free addin
that will give you feature recognition capability. I don't believe there is
a free add on for MDT.

Right now it is available for R11.... my souces say that IV2008 FR is
"imminent"

There was a WONDERFUL feature recognition tool for MDT with MDT6 or MDT2004 (called Feature Exchange) that was an extra charge, I got it and it worked/works great! Sadly, Autodesk choose not to keep it up to date with future versions of MDT. I still have it and did keep the older versions installed just to use this tool. Maybe someday IV might catch up...8+ years and waiting......where's the money going again????? Oops, went off on a tangent there.
