    I support this request. We have hundreds of layers in MG 6.5 that access Views as primary or secondary datasources. Changing these databases would be a huge job. This is one aspect that would prevent us from migrating to MGE.

    We do have this possibility using proprietary ORACLE data provider for ORACLE Spatial. It was sucessfully tested in many projects and we can supply you with trial version of this software. It's fully functional but will work for 60 days only

    The King.Oracle provider also supports views and non-spatial data, and
    is Open Source / Free.

    My understanding is that view support is also in the works for most of
    the other providers in the near future.

    Our provider was not created for MGE but for usual MG 6.5. We are just estimating MGE but still it looks for us not that stable and predictable to use as a base for industrial-size projects. So we go on with 6.5 and keep an eye on MGE for future...hope not very distant
