It would be really great to have support for SDO_RASTER in MapGuide Enterprise.
Thanks!

It should be consider by now GDAL 1.6 will support GeoRaster , so if the upcoming release of MGE (based on MGOS 2.1.x) and FDO Raster Provider is build in top of GDAL 1.6 should be an starting point for getting Raster directly from Oracle DB.

I don't believe that the raster provider distributed with MapGuide
Enterprise is based on the open source GDAL raster provider, but there
would be nothing stopping you from having both the Autodesk raster
provider and the OSGeo raster provider running under MGE.
There has been a bunch of work done recently on the GDAL provider to
bring it up to GDAL 1.6:
http://trac.osgeo.org/fdo/search?q=gdal+1.6&noquic kjump=1&changeset=on
I have no idea of this means that it will provide GeoRaster (or SDE
Raster, etc) out of the box though; a plug-in or recompile may be
required, similar to how the MrSID and ECW drivers currently work.
