    Mapguide Studio and DWG

I am receiving a "dbx cas 4" error when I try to set up a data load
procedure for DWG in Sutdio 2007. This happens as or after it has lodaed
the DETE components. I repaired the install but no change.

Any ideas as to what may be wrong?

    Thanks

This may indicate a corruption of some of the DLLs installed by Studio.

Instead of using the "repair" option, try this:

    1. Exit the MapGuide Studio application
    2. Use the Window Task Manager to make sure that the DETE.exe process is not running. If it is, kill it.
    3. Uninstall MapGuide Studio.
    4. Go to the MapGuide Studio installation folder and delete any files and folders that did not get removed by step 3.
    5. Reinstall MapGuide Studio.

I tried that and it still gives the same error. I do have Map 3d 2007
installed on the same machine. I wonder if there is any chance that this
    causes some confilcts with DLLS?

If you install both Map 3D and Studio, there should be no DLL conflicts.

Here are some things to check:

Make sure that you are installing a recent (1.0.0.17804 or later) version of MapGuide Studio. I recall that old (pre-release) versions of MapGuide Studio had this problem.

Look at your computer's Path environment variable. If for some reason this variable is including folders that contain Map 3D DLLs, then this might be the cause.

The version is 1.0.0.17804. It is the shipping product installed from the
Autodesk CD. Nothing is on the path.

It might help to know if the problem is data-related. You could try creating an empty DWG file and try loading it into Studio.

    No difference.

I installed studio on another box and it worked fine.
