    What would be the effect on a MapGuide application of the firewall blocking ports 2800, 2801 and 2802?

    If your MG Server is running on the Webserver it may depend whether the firewall by defalt blocks all ports including requests against 127.0.0.1. Some firewalls don't block traffic against 127.0.0.1 whereas some might if configured that way.

    Otherwise it shouldn't be a problem. If the MG Server is on another machine then you may need to open the ports.
