Ok, I have a text layer (points) SDF for both AIMS 2012 and MAP 3D 2012 (Map renders correctly)
SIZE CONTEXT: MAP
UNIT: METERS
FONT: ROMANS
SIZE: 5
HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT: LEFT
VERTICAL ALIGNMENT: BASELINE
STRING: HELLO WORLD
It is really different in AIMS 2012 than it is in MAP 3D 2012. The font spacing is completely different, but the insertion point is fine. Even the font looks much BOLDER.
Any hints?

LOL! The RomanS font, romans__.ttf (even when installed on the server) did not work.
But I installed AutoCAD Map 3D 2012 on the Enterprise AIMS 2012 Server and voila, the RomanS font worked great!
Why is it listed in Studio if I can't use it on the server, even if I use Studio ON the server?
Dumbest workaround ever.
