    Oracle to sdf

    Hi,

    Newbie question...

I am trying to get data (road sections) from Oracle 10g into an sdf file that can be used by Mapguide 6.5. I have tried FME2004 and fdo2fdo. I have tried exporting from Oracle to a csv and using sdfloader.

FME can't read the Oracle table list.
fdo2fdo says it has copied 16000+ records but nothing is visible when I view the file in FME Universal Viewer.
    sdfloader can't read/process the 'csv'

Question is how would you folks tackle this? Oh and we can't purchase any more software...

    Thanks,
    Arth.

is not very clear what you want ... is your data
in oracle datebase as spatial data ?

take care fdo2fdo create sdf3  and it's not readable
by sdfloader and mg6.5 you must make a new fdo2fdo task  to translate sdf3
to shp then with sdfloader can generate sdf2

Translate Oracle to SDF3 or SHP  with
    fdo2fdo

Translate SHP to SDF2  with sdfloader or use in mg
    6.5 shp provider

It's little stupid worktask but for me works using batch
file, you can run fdo2fdo as command line, I use a batch program agent like
    Cobian .
