I have tried both starting with sheetmetal and flanges, and also this shell. I'm sure I'm missing something simple. See CF thanks

Not sure what the problem is I opened your file and
you already have a flat pattern that works? Am I missing
somthing?

IV's flat pattern of this is not correct, it shows
a flattened cone but has lost the flat tabs?

thanks for looking, I don't see any compound curves. I also tried fileting the corners B4 shelling, but that didn't help.

I think Autodesk need to look at this stuff, flat
pattern is a black art in IV and seems a long way to go.

I built one lofting between polygons. Since all of the sides are flat, there
isn't any distortion during the loft. I posted it to customer files.
