Hi,

I create muliti solid parts.  In the .idw view I want the section views to have same colour as the model.  Is it possible?

Hi rajeshindi,

i assume, you are faced with a problem like this?

Section A-A does not honor your color? But you are expecting a result like Section B-B?

The section view of multi body part does only use the color that is assigned to the solid body. If you only apply your color to the feature (Extursion, ...) it will look like A-A.

Please go to your part and call the properties of the solid body:

And apply your color here:

After that update your drawing and your section view will be as expected.

Is that the workflow you were looking for?

If so, please use the button "Accept As Solution".

Thanks for your reply.  it is useful and appreciated.  Not all the time, it is possible for me to go for shaded view and section it.  It would be very useful if the section view and the base view is shown as per the actual model colour.  Is it possible or some thing for wish list?  ( I am aware of selecting the required lines manually and changing the colour which time consuming)

sorry, I'm not sure if i catched what you would like to do...

Which lines do you want to select and change?

Do you need a view like this (C-C):

All lines of the body including the hatch have to be in bodies color?

Please post a screenshot how your expected result would look like.
