Group,
Suppose Adesk is going to top out the seats count over the competition, at
least if they are counting the number of shipments. Right now I got the
second set of packages, so now I'm the proud owner of 8 packages of AIS6
(instead of the 3 seats that I've ordered). We're just shaking heads and
wondering wheter we will get the 3rd set soon...

LOL... At the last place I worked we used to get 8 boxes when we only had 7
seats...

We've got 5 seats and 1 box??? We were told Adesk was only shipping one CD
the licenses for the number of seats.

Well, it's a bit complicated....
Basically, I have 4 old releases, for 2 of them I ordered an upgrade through
the reseller, another one is a free subscription.
I got 2 parcels immediately after release from Adesk (for the other 2 old
releases), one for the free subscrition, and one that I didn't order, and I
got those same seats once again this week. I recently got one of the 2 seats
I've ordered through the distributor (6 weeks after order), one is still
missing.
Some of the packages were real boxes, other were just a slim letter with a
serialnumber, without CD or booklet.
It's just a funny mix-up of all possible failures.

Just read the Adesk report, and they actually report 6.100 shipments per 3rd
quater, so that's really suspicious...

Actually it doesn't.

As a subscription customer, one can elect to have multiple standalone
licences attached to one serial number and 1 box. Of you may elect to have
many boxes each with a unique serial number. Its your choice, however if you
dont specify this then its a crap shoot as to the way your dealer processes
it. If the dealer doesnt specify it to autodesk the default way is that you
get 1 box with many licences. Older legacy subscription accounts typically
will have multiple boxes which is the old default.

The argument behind this being that bigger corpoartions don't want the
hassle of disposing of many boxes each release.
