How do I create this plastic moulded part? I need to create a rectangular frame with L shape cross section and then add center round hub and then add ribs.

    Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions. I drew a rough sketch for the frame and this where i stuck now. I am not sure how to draw the connecting member from corner to the center and how to create ribs in between them. I tried to use rib feature but it is not working.

    attached is the frame.ipt.

    Thanks.

First thing I notice is that Sketch1 is not constrained or even dimensioned.
    You might start here http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/skillsusa%20university.pdf

while someone takes a longer look.

I just created a rough sketch and did not put any dimensions on it. I read the tutotrial but still having issue with creating ribs and creating a corner connecting members.

You will have to constrain sketches before I can help.

I have always found that is faster to constrain than to not constrain.
In fact, Inventor does most of the work for you on this part.

Unconstrained sketches is why Inventor Fusion should have never seen the light of day.
Look in your corners - do those fillets look right?

I used Shell feature as well to make your part.

    Is this a school project?
I could run you through the steps - but don't want to give away the assignment.
