    parameter percision problem

I am having a problem that i can only attribute to percision error. In my assembly i have a "Parameter" part that consist of a sketch and a few calculated parameters. I am linking parameters in my main assembly as well as some of its parts to this "Parameter" part. I want to drive the length of one of my parts off of a driven dimension in the parameter part sketch, but it causes my assembly constraints to fail. If i use the measure distance tool with the percision set to all decimals and measure the length from the sketch instead of linking to the driven dimension everything works fine. so my question is this. is there any way to set the percision of the parameter values to the same percision as the measure tool set to all decimals.

    Please use plain text.

What I would do is in your part and assembly templates go to the tools tab on the ribbon and change the precision here.

My part had a lower percision set in document settings than me parameter part. i fixed my problem by maxing both of them out.
