I am on inventor 2013...My make components command stopped working I know I have used it in tha past.

After I hit next on the first screen nothing happens, it just brings me back to the part I can zoom in and out or do any other command....If I right click I have the options for Ok, Apply and cancel.

If I hit either apply or ok, I will get a dialogue box say, "default template could not be found"

If I just create a simple part with two bodies, I get the same problem.

I am able to open a new template throgh the new file window, or by the shorcut in the ribbon?

any ideas before I try a complete re-install

Sure; I also tried to rename the the template to default but same prob.

I see Standard (in).ipt, not Standard.ipt

Are you clicking directly on 1

or

are you clicking on 2 first and selecting a template?

Ah_ha it was the part file...that worked!
