    installation order in 7

During inventor 5.3 there is an installation order that we would do to keep
everything stable. We would install MDT 6.0 first then inventor 5.3.

I was looking for a readme file on the CD of inventor 7.0 about it and
    couldn't find any.

We would be installing it in a network. Has anybody encountered errors or
issues with the installation order. Do I just install Disk 1 and then Disk
    2?

    Thanks for your comments!

Correct Procedure with IV6 and 7 is Inventor first, then MDT.

Good question. For R6 you had to install IV and then MDT or else you would have authorization problems.

Anyone have problems with their AIS7 install procedure? Have users been successful with installing IV then MDT or MDT then IV?

I installed MDT first and the Inventor...So
far, so smooth... Haven't had a crash yet. Been working with it
for 15 hours now...Lovely software. Actually, I didn't get much crash from INV6
but the speed performance in INV7 is better. So far, very happy!

    In R6 it is

    - stand alone =  IV 1st, MDT 2nd
    - network
    license = MDT 1st, IV 2nd

Maybe with the new installer routines
    this rule
    is no longer valid.
    Someone knows?
(Still don't have an AIS7, as a German
    VAR
I have to wait and wait an wait ...)
