Ah yes, the fillet weld works as well.
To answer the question about Split face - you do it at the part level with either a sketch line or with a workplane.

Now I did something with the fillet bead, but it's doing that on only one side of the cylinder - how did you mange to create it on both sides?

What size did you use?
What side did it work?
Because one of the faces is a cylinder it is very sensitive to location and order of face picks.
I was able to do both sides without splitting the part face, but it might be worth the time to split the face if changes are likely on this part in the future (if you want it to be robust).

Hi,
There's some mixup in here:-)
1. Can you please show some screen shot on how to perform the split face - this is for the groove bead, correct?
2. I was trying to make it with fillet bead as someone suggested in here, but could do it only on one side of the tube..Is it possible to "catch" both sides? The pic someone put in here's showing both sides..which I couldn't mimick...
