OK, this is really bugging me....
My Inventor installation turns corrupt on me.
I have migrated one project for use in R6.
This was initially created in R5/R5.3, and migrated succesfully to R6SP0.
Later, I upgraded to SP1.
Approximately after one day of use, IV starts to crash when it opens an
assembly initially created in R5/5.3.
Parts are OK, and Assys created fresh in R6sp0/R6sp1 works perfect.
A repair dont help, I have to uninstall IV, Install IV, Install SP1 to get
back to a working system.
Now it works for maybe a day, before it corrupts itself again. VERY
aggravating.
The funny thing is that assys created in R6 still works..
Anybode else seen this?
Using Win2000sp3, dual athlon, 1,5GIG ram, softquadro4 driver 40.72 (but IV
also crashes with Microsoft GDI driver).

It is recommended that any file migrated from R5 or earlier be done with the
"Rebuild All" option checked in the Migration Utility. I don't know if this
is your problem but it may help.

I did that.
And now, I tried to migrate in a second time, this time in R6sp1, with
rebuild all checked once more..
3 hours without crashing, and holding my breath.

Nope..
Started up again this morning, and could not open any assy or part that was migrated in sp0, even if it was later forced a migration to sp1 as well.
I can work on newly created (sp1) and newly migrated files, but when I want to work on my main assy, I'll have to uninstall/reinstall IV.
I'll try to work on IV6sp0 for a while now, while waiting for sp2 (sigh....)

Darn... sp0 behaves the same way.
All of a sudden, all assys and parts migrated in my firsr period with sp0 only crashes IV, and I have to Uninstall/reinstall to get back to a working system.
If anyone knows why, or knows how to cure it, dont hesitate to tell me.
And no, I wont put back the backup from before the initial installation, because i have done too much in the meantime.
I guess I'll just have to uninstall/install when I need to do something with the main assy or the problem-assys/parts.
