i am having trouble with content center.  we recently installed inventor 2012 and nothing comes up when i try to place an item from the content center.  some of the files are present in mapped folder under the projects but some are missing.   either way nothing is opened in the content center.  any ideas?

Is your Inventor setup to utilize 'desktop content', or are you using a Vault server to manage the CC libraries?

i think the vault server.

You can find this out, in the 'application options / content center tab'.

it is pulling from inventor desktop content.  when i look up that folder through my computer the only two files are "my library.idcl" and "my library.idz".  i feel like there should be more there.  thanks for the help by the way.  i appreciate the response.

You will have to install the desktop content from your Inventor DVD.
