Similar to what I just built except I only put in 8Gb ram and put the money saved towards a SSD for data, so I have 1 small SSD for OS and one larger one for data.  My old spaceball 5000 still works too.

I went for antec 200 case as it has a front loading hot swap drive bay which could be handy. My other machine has the antec 300 and its rubbish.  One of the front usb ports fell apart and it shorts out if I put anything in it, so its taped up and I now only have 1 front usb that works.  The head set jacks are also cr*p.  Go for the 200   http://store.antec.com/Product/enclosure-gear_for_gamers/two-hundred-v2/0-761345-15253-2.aspx

Yea I was contemplating the secondary storage to be a SSD, but the high rpm VelociRaptor is more than capable and cheaper than a 500BG SSD.

Hmmm...I wish I would have knew this earlier, I built my own own PC very similar to this model and used the 300 Antec, so far so good, haven't had any issues. Hoping that you had a bad one time experience with the 300..haha...

    Thanks!!
