When I create a simulation the stress analysis ribbon doesn't enable options.

What do I need to do to enable the stress analysis buttons? Please answer with screen shots if possible, it would help to see where to click and what to do. Thanks

I am using Autodesk Inventor 2012 proffesional.

Have you gone through the getting started tutorials for using the Ribbon Interface?
It appears you have set to Compact rather than Normal (see attached image).
Right click on a tab and set Ribbon Appearance to Normal.

Or is something else your problem?

The problem is when I mouse over the buttons the menu underneath is grayed out. Like when I mouse over the loads button everything underneath is grayed out and I cannot click on anything.
