    Welds and Design Views

I have a weldment model. Would like to be precise in showing the welder the order of assembly and welding. I have defined design views, turning off components as we go through the weld process. I would also like to turn off visibility of welds that are on parts that are not visible. I can not seem to do that in the model or drawing, I do lock the view, when I get the state I want. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

As you know by default Inventor have hability to show the process of welding. When you place a drawing in a sheet you can specify in dialog box which weldment process you need to show (assembly; machining; weldment or preparation). Unfortunately when you choose the assembly process you will get all the welds visibility off.

To do what you want you can manually hide the weld bem, one by one. To do that you need to activate the selection filter "Part Priority" to be able to select the welds. Then right click and "Visibility". See the image.

    hope help
