    VIEWER FOR INVENTOR (LARGE FILES)

We have a couple of assembllies that the inventor viewer can't handle. it seems to "explode" some of the parts as in showing them places they aren"t supposed to be. We would like to use a view that can handle this sort of thing rather than buying another another seat of Inventor.

This would be more for our guys in the shop. we really don't want them to have a full blown version of Inventor if we can avoid it. they just need it to grab some dimensions once in a while. And you know something bad would happen sooner or later with one of our large assemblies.:smileysurprised:

test navisworks, if its good, buy them a copy...  I used it back in 2000 to view large 3d AutoCAD files and more recently, massive floating production plants.  Its just a viewer so no kickback to your work

And if license cost is an issue (Simulate can be a little pricey), you can publish static models for use in the free Freedom viewer - now with measuring tools!  Some of our clients have taken to sending those published model files to the fab yards (along with the *actual* construction documents, of course) so they have a better sense of context.  No cost to them, and relatively easy to move around in and search for parts.
