Tab Panel is painfully slow

Hi,
Im running inventor 2012 and the panel tabs are painfully slow. It is not a hardware problem as my computer is up to specs. It has an i5 processor 6 gb ram and 1 gb dedicated graphics. I have tried re installing the package and it was no better.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
