    Spiral metal plate?

Anyone know how I would make the attached image?

The plate should be .25" thick.

I've messed around with the helix - spiral function but it always makes a spiral that is already extruded as opposed to just giving me a spiral (like in a sketch) that I can then use another way..  <-- See image.

    Thanks in adavece.

extrude a circle, extrude cut the slice (pie shape) sketch on slice face, spiral cut using the coil command.
