Is there any way to assign a button on the spaceball to the return button in
    Inventor

    Thanks

I think if you are referring to the Return function on the standard tool
bar, you will not be able to map it. At least I have not found a way yet.
The Return function in the newer SpaceWare (2.3.0 Build 5) is equivalent to
the Enter key on your keyboard (not very useful in Inventor). If I'm wrong
someone please correct me. I would like to have the Return function from
the standard tool bar mapped to a Spaceball button too.

Sorry Dustin and Dan. Looks like Kent and I were going down the wrong path.
Much clearer after rereading the post!!

I have never used the "Return" button and you are correct, it doesn't appear
mappable? What is this for. Seems to give the same functionality is the
RMB>Finish Edit? I'm sure there is some added productivity that I'm missing
    out on?

"Seems to give the same functionality is the

Correct.  The same button on the tool bar can
be used to return to the model in sketch mode, or return to a sub-assembly or
assembly from part edit mode (if activated from an assembly).  No idea
why anyone would want to map the Enter key to a Spaceball button, which is what
appears to be the Return function in the SpaceWare drivers.

If you can access the "Return" throught a macro
then if you were to create the macro in the 3DxWare interface and assign it to a
    button wouldn't that work.
