    Simulation & Stress Analysis

I need to test a load on an extrusion while something rolls across it.  Does Simulation only do as it implies; Simulate?  Do I need to run a Stress Analysis only on the assembly or is it a combination of both?  Before I get ahead of myself does anyone have a good resource to learn about these subjects?  Any input would be great.  Thanks.

Depending on the type of Joints used in the Dynamic Simulation you might be able to Eport to FEA.

Search Amazon for books 1 & 2 by Wasim Younis.
