Silhouette curve gets lost in Mold Design

I've created a silhouette curve in the plastic part, and marked it for export.

In mold environment, I need it as startup curve for the runoff surfaces. But whatever I try, it's always switching back to being not used.

    What's going on here?

    Thanks for hints

    Walter

    Hi Walter,

I don’t think that you can edit the first derivation below _MP part, because this derivation is controlled by Mold add-in and several Mold commands are related to this derive feature, such as Shrinkage. Currently, only solid bodies and surfaces of original plastic part can be derived into _MP part. More information about surface derivation, please refer to the following link:

Anyway, you can create the silhouette curves in _MP part by Edit Moldable Part command.

In addition, Mold also supports you to select the silhouette curves(even they are not existed) during you create the runoffs or hole patches. Please refer to the following links for more information:

-You can use any combination of 2D or 3D sketch geometry and silhouette curves to create surface patches.

    Good morning, Mingwei

Apparently i'm doing not enough molding.

Selecting outer faces for the runoffs did it.

    Thanks

    Walter
