    Scale a block

Is there a way to scale a block?

I want to create an iPart from a block..

I want to just apply one dimension to the overall width of the block.

I know the best way would be to properly constrain it, but it's a very complicated shape that came from Adobe Illustrator so I'd rather just have it locked in proportion inside a block.

    Any ideas?

What version of Inventor are you using?

What happens if you right click on the block and select Edit Block and then select Scale?

2013, Yes that works, but you can't drive that from an iPart

    Hi,

Workaround is to create a new part that contains only sketch block and derive this part into another part. Derive dialog contains "Scale factor" which can be used to define iPart. Unfortunately, at the moment, derived part scale factor does not update model automatically when iPart member is changed. Our developers are aware of this behavior and working on fix.

    Thanks,
