Project Cut Edges. Associative or Not??

I'm creating a part sketch by using the Project Cut Edges command. Looking
in the help it says this is associative i.e. if I change the parent geometry
the cut edges will update. Is this correct or not as it doesn't appear to
    be working for me.
I know in 5.3 it wasn't associative so is it just the help files being a bit
    too hopeful

    Cheers,

The work around is to share sketches. Do one sketch -- extrude etc. and it
is consumed. Go back and share sketch. Now edit sketch and -- extrude etc.
or whatever and things stays associative.
By doing the sketch in two parts you prevent Dr.Error from reporting .

Rob, while projected cut edges aren't associative, you can get something that
might do what you want by using 3D Sketch > 3D Intersection. Use a work plane
for one of the intersecting surfaces. If you are trying to reference cut
edges of another part it requires jumping through a couple of additional
hoops, but can be done, usually requiring creating construction surfaces
(their edges can be projected "cross part" associatively, while sketch
elements cannot) or deriving the referenced part in as surfaces.

Another limitation: you can't extrude / revolve a 3D Sketch, but can get the
same thing by lofting between two sections or projecting the 3D Sketch
    elements onto a 2D Sketch.

    Good luck with it,
    Jeff

    Thanks Jeff,
I've never actually used the 3D sketches. I think I'll have a bit of a
tinker around with them at home, and see what I can come up with,

    Cheers
