The more I use it the more I really dislike the new profile selection
algorithm that is in R6. I'm not sure what changed under the hood, but it's
much ore difficult to select what you want now. Selecting text to extrude
is a real pain as is selecting profiles within profiles.
See CF for an example. Try to select the 4 blocks (two rectangles and two
curved areas) and extrude them. It IS possible but it took me forever to
find the sweet spot to place the cursor to select them. Normally I wouldn't
have the outline of the profile project but as I project the face geometry
from another part that's the way it is.
(BTW forgive the messy browser on this part. I'm playing with some ideas so
I'm not concerned about how it's built right now..)

I've noticed the change, too. Just figured it's associated with the
difference in sketch mode graphics (the "dot").
If it's any help, I just straight away rmb and "select other" when this
happens. Seems to be the easiest solution rather than trying to find the
sweet spot, which appears to be very small sometimes.

What I dislike most is the new area preview when hovering the mouse
over nested profiles in a sketch. It's so hard to select or deselect
small areas when zoomed into the sketch. In Inventor 5.3 only
the sketch lines were highlighted - much better. Is it only me or
does anyone know a registry patch for this preview mode?
