Have you installed all service packs for 2010 according to this information?  I have not seen this error.

What value are you typing in for the scale?

Sorry, but I do not have 2010 on my home system.

    I typed any value... 1 : 10, 1 : 25, 1 : 50... but the error persists...

And I had looked for hotfixes but i couldn't find anything... and I don't know what to do...

After many tries... and many unusefull things... the solution was as simple as 2+2... jejejeje...

The problem was at the Region and Language configuration. I just re-configured all the items in those menus, and let the location to USA and the measurement system to metric... and DONE... Inventor works like charm... jejejeje

Finnally I have a perfecto wrokflow in my designs...

    Regards....
