    Polished Copper Reflections

    Has anyone else noticed the images in the reflection from polished copper?  In my current model, polished copper is reflecting the image of what looks to be a parking lot, as I see the back end of 3 different cars, ones white and the other two are grey I think.  No real issue, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this reflection, looks like the developers were having a little bit of fun on this one, or is there a place this reflection can be changed?

    Tools > Application Options > Colors tab > Reflection Environment.  I use the Chrome.dds reflection.

    yes, not on the polished copper, but on the chrome surfaces.

     

    You'll notice the reflections change from version to version as well.

    Using Chrome, you get a better reflection. You need to have some form of enviroment to develope a realistic reflection.
