Trying to find what (if any) is the difference between PF1/8 (Japanese) threads and G1/8 (BSPP). Anyone know a whole lot about Japanese threads?

From what I've been able to find, sounds like it's the same, save for a 30 deg seat.

BSPP/BSPF is equivalent to JIS PF

So, this all begs the question... why is the customer's gauge not matching our threads... something is fishy...

Did you gauge the threads prior to shipment to ensure they were machined properly?
Maybe one is using a tapered gauge?

Well, not me personally... not my place, really. But I'm sure they did. I'm thinking our customer doesn't have the thread (or gauge) they think they have... some kind of oddball JIS variant monster or something. I REALLY am hoping they aren't using a tapered gauge... funny as it might be.
