    Not impressed

I finally got my AGP 4X working with my new Quadro 4 750XGL. I had to
install the updated VIA chipset drivers. Now my property setting show
AGP 4x and the diagnostics in INV 5.3 show:

    NVIDIA Corporation\Quadro4 750 XGL/AGP/SSE/3DNOW!\1.4.0

I loaded the NVIDIA 30.82 driver, and then tried the 41.03.
I opened my 800 unique part assembly and was not impressed.
It didn't appear any better than my tweaked Geforce 2>Quadro 2 Pro.

No matter how low I set the minimum frame rate, i still get faceting on
    30-40% of the parts.
Anyone have suggestions for advanced settings?

        There are probably some other
tweaks, but these seem to help my 550xgl. I found these in some posts
from john bilton. My 750 should be here
    tomorrow. I'll be watching.(:-()

    Fast linear MipMap - on

    Enable Overlays - on

    Maximize Texture Memory - on

    Vertcal Sync - off

    PCI memory = 16 meg

Also, in BIOS, I think your AGP Aperture should go
    to 128 Megs!

I was looking at the Autodesk benchmarks for INV
and it appears that there is no difference in speed for anything, when using a
Quadro4 compared to a Quadro 2 or 3. So I think Ill keep my hack Quadro DCC (GF3
$100) over getting an expensive Quadro4 Card...

Yeah, i saw those too, but I noticed that none of them were on large
assemblies. I was hoping there would be a difference

I haven't played with VIA drivers for a couple of years but there used to be
a question during the OS update where you were asked if you wanted normal
AGP or Turbo, Turbo was the setting needed on AGP 2x to get 2x performance.

There wasn't an option when I installed the latest, ver 4.43.
From what I can find out, I think it's automatic, now.
