MDT6 layout data to Inventor 6....

I’m looking to upgrade to Inventor 6 from MDT 6. I already know that Inventor will open the MDT file and keep all the parametric data intact. I have a lot of MDT 6 data that I do not want to re-detail. My question is, can I get the 2D layout data and keep the linkage between the 3D and 2D?
