There is a new technology preview available on Autodesk Labs.

We would appreciate it if you would try it and provide some feedback.

Currently there is not a way to completely download the assets library to establish a local library. This is something that we are evaluating from users' feedback.

Hi Scott,
Any chance of this being compatible with Inventor 2011?
Thanks,

Guys,
There are some aspects of the UI that Jig & Fixture Design Tech Preview uses which are not available in Inventor 2011. As such, there is currently no plan to back port the Jig & Fixture Design add-in to Inventor 2011. Sorry.

Nice if you could include Rayco CMM fixture components.

Thanks for the suggestion, John.
BTW, don't know if you realized it or not, but the Jig & Fixture Design Tech Preview does include authoring tools. If Rayco has digital models that can be read into Inventor, you could use the Jig & Fixture authoring tools to augment their models to be used within Jig & Fixture Design.
Thanks again,

John,
That's great that you have most of the components you use already modeled. You're most of the way done! It should be fairly straight forward using the Authoring Tool to augment your existing models so that they can be used in the Jig & Fixture Design Tech Preview.
Let me know if you try this and how it works for you!
thanks,
