    Java

So, I have heard several advisories to uninstall Java.

How well will Inventor function without Java?  Has anyone found a good article that actually explains the Java issue better than it leaves me open to be hacked?

I disabled it and Inventor 2012 Pro is still running normal.

How long ago did you disable it, and what addons/features do you use?

    I should reprhase that.

It's been disabled in Internet Explorer, Java is still installed.  It's my understanding that the exploit comes in through your internet browser when on a website that has it running.

The only thing outside of normal day-to-day modeling stuff that I use Inventor for is Cable&Harnessing.

I don't have a link handy, but I read that the java issue only affects web browsers, nothing else.
