Is there such a thing as a global/default design view that can be applied?

    Being new users......
We have made up a number of 'coloured' sub-assemblies. When these are amended and saved any other user that then opens the assembly does not get the colour changes (although any ammendments made to the structure of the assembly are ok).
We seem to have narrowed it down to a design view issue, where each user has their own design view applied to the same assembly.
What we really want is for each of us to see the assembly how it was last saved, including colour changes.
In our 'simple' view a default design view for ALL assemblies would work very nicely but we can't see how to set one up?
    Please use plain text.

The simplist way is to edit the parts and make the
colour changes there.  Everyone will see the changes automatically
then.  But if you do this delete the default.idv from each users
directory.  The colour change there will override the colour of the
    part.  Good luck.

Not in a multi-user environment, but my
assemblies don't change colors (well ... less I derive them). Does each user get
the model back the way they last saved it, then; as opposed to the way the last
user may have saved it? Do all the colors change or do the colors of parts with
different materials change? Does everyone have the same colors applied to the
different materials? The color is defined and attached at the ipt level I think
so what ever color it is at ipt level should be the color everyone sees I would
    think.

Either it can't be 6:39 or the atomic clock I'm
supposed to be synchronized with is whacked! <G>

Yes, each user does get back what they last saved in respect of colours. However, if someone puts a hole through a part (for example) everyone can see it.
We don't want to colour the individual parts that make up the assembly as we have a number of common parts that are used in a number of different assemblies where the colours vary.
