Inventor is Reregister

I was starting up Inventor fine before SP1. After AP1, each time I startup, I get a message that reads: "Inventor is reregistering and needs to complete reregistration before this program can run. Please close Inventor so it can complete reregistration before running this program." When I hit OK, I also get this error: "Reregistration needs to be completed before running this program". The SP white paper said I would NOT have to reboot. But after I got this message the first time, I rebooted anyway. The first time I started IV after reboot, I did NOT get this message. But I closed and later restarted, and that's when I got it again. I would hate to think I have to reboot every time I close and reopen IV. Any ideas?

Not really... but if it was me I think I would try a repair install, and
then reinstall the SP, making sure all tray and anti virus tools were off
during it. The only time I get that is when I have been running R5.3 and
switch to R6

I did have Norton running when I installed SP1. I'll try your idea Monday. No time to repair today. Thanks.

Well, nevermind. for some reason the IV process didn't shutdown those two times. Of course it wouldn't let me open another instance. It is working fine now for some reason. Thanks anyway.
