Inventor Viewer Material Rotation Different Then Drawing

We recently updated one of our drawings and now show an incosistency when a user views the drawing in Inventor Viewer. We are a wood products company and the grain direction of the material in the drawing is important. When changing the drawings material direction and saving, Inventor viewer still shows the old material direction.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I am new to Inventor and try to resolve and issue for a client. Attached is a print screen of the issue. This shows our dual monitors with monitor A having the file open in Inventor Viewer and monitor B having the fil open in Inventor 2010.

This came up a couple of years ago as well, I think the end solution was to create a new material/appearance from scratch and use something like Photoshop to rotate the image so that when you apply the material you don't need to rotate it within Inventor.

You have material appearances, one with a horizontal grain and one with a vertical grain. Basically a Wood_H and Wood_V.
