Not sure where that came from, but -
...what is your OS?
If Vista or Window 7 did you turn off UAC before install?Try turning off now and reboot. Click yes to the registry message.
If no change,
try a Repair Install
if still no change
try a clean uninstall/reinstall.

Since this is an XP machine, do you have a SSE2 complient processor? I used to see a problem based on this on older Intel or AMD processor structures. How about you list all your system specs here to rule out most of these hardware issues.
Type in MSINFO32 in your run box and report on those results.
Report on the main screen and the Components>Disply information.

Well, your processor is a SSE2 compliant one, your OS is XP SP3 (SP4 is not supported), but I do see that your graphics card is using integrated graphics and not a dedicated card. These older Intel chipsets are not really suitable (although many have worked in a horrible way). You might try installing a inexpensive Direct3D compliant card. Even it is not the end all solution it would be beneficial to the system and Inventor LT. It would take memory load off your RAM and onto the GPU and RAM of the card.

Was this installed from a received disc from Autodesk or was it downloaded? If it was downloaded from the Autodesk site I would recommend you try and redownload it as some of the files may have become corrupt in the process, especially if AVG was on during the download process. You can always request a disc as well if you need to.

In addtion, the Inventor.exe message originates from duplicat entries in the registry. Did you ever have Inventor 2011 full version or any 2011 beta of any kind in the machine at any point? That might have to bel cleaned out as well.
Also, Inventor LT and Inventor Series or any other advanced varient cannot co-exist on the same machine due to these restrictions of the registry.
