Does Inventor have something similar to this as in Solidworks?

Not really sure what that does or what you are expecting Inventor to do (sounds more like marketing crap than a real feature but) With Inventor you have a style/standard library where you set all that stuff from the start. So there is really no need for a "design checker" because you work from a style/standard library and are only allowed to use the specific styles/standards set forth in that..

For example you set up a style for your dimensions. Now when idiot drafter#5 creates a drawing and adds a dimension the style/specifics of that dimension style are already setup so he can't pick blue dimensions when you should be using black or whatever.

If you looked at the link I provided you will see what it is.

It is anything but marketing crap.  It is a tool that once templates are setup and the settings

are in place the design checker makes sure that nothing is deviated from.

Ah now I see from watching the demo video..Its a $1,000 tool that points out you were an idiot, or have no idea what you are doing and didn't do your job right great..

That is good to know as well seeing we have mechanical.

Does this "Checkstandard tool" come along for the ride when you have mechanical or is that a pay in addition to addin?
